More About Dr. Clavijo

After leaving his home country of Colombia, Dr. Clavijo studied in Spain, completing his PhD at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. After earning his PhD, he came to the United States and quickly began research work at Harvard University in the areas of trauma and critical care. In 2005, he began training in plastic surgery and the University of Pittsburgh, where he stayed for several years. He then completed a Masters in Public Health, which allowed him merge his study of stem cell research into the clinical area.
